What about Zimbra? That's open source, no? The demo is at http://demo.zimbra.com/zimbra/mail

I think it's not too shabby for an open source product. It's as good as Microsoft's Outlook Web Access for Exchange 2003 but not as good as the current Outlook Web Access product.

I was reading though this post thinking about Evolution until, of course, you mentioned it. Its the client I use at work, but I have even fewer contacts than you do.

I like it and look forward to your opinion.

Indeed! Linux has server market (check)
Linux is working on the browser market (checK)
Linux has apps that work for addresses and also integreates with other apps well (BUZZ! try again!)
Now that we can do some of the more basic stuff...the next step is to get to the more important user stuff. Hopefully with nokia, openmoko, gnome, google, ubuntu, dell and some others, this gap will close. But as Mr. Moglen says "...and we win!" (no date certain thought ;-))
