Terrific piece. I wrote a piece a while ago saying the open API is the new black. It is nice to see that Convio has followed and I hope to hear a lot about it this week in Austin at their user group meeting. (What I heard a while ago was that the GetActive folks came to the merger with very strong desire to go this route and some movement in that direction.)

You are totally right about Salesforce. They have the gold standard in API and I think it will be a long time before anyone else gets to that level.

Now what organizations need is some plain English explanation about where the intersection of strategy and these APIs are and how to make it work for their needs.
