I had an opportunity to "force" the unconference/camp model of learning, as you described it, on participants at the AIRS (www.airs.org) conference in Houston (http://tools.my211.org).  I agree that its vital to allow people to acknowledge their fears and skepticism about how technology is used in the nonprofit world even while encouraging them to embrace their inner geeks.

The unconference model for me is a natural growth from the de-schooling theme of the always stimulating and enduring Ivan Illich (see "De-Schooling Society," c. 1971! Available online at http://reactor-core.org/deschooling.html.

Thanks for your inspirational commitment to learning of all types.</description>
